Fiction’s Moving From Here

You can find Ladybird, the fantasy World of Adel stuff and other fiction I wrote on tumblr on my new blog, Literalchemy. I will also be posting any new fiction I write there, of which I plan to write more of, of course. Fantasy stuff, random stuff, and more Ladybird will all be over there. I experimented with tumblr for fiction writing to try to reach a broader audience, but I don’t post enough quick, small things to really compete in the tumblr media stream, and I don’t really post enough cat pictures or reblog enough stuff to really get the intended use out of Tumblr. I’d like to thank everyone who read my fiction here! You can keep doing that, over there.

Tumblr was pretty nice to write on, and I like it in theory, but I don’t think I was ever going to get the use out of it that I felt I would when I started writing on it. I don’t really write micro-fiction or other stuff that takes advantage of tumblr. I write long as hell posts about a ladybug superhero who’s not actually very ladybug themed, punching the robots of a nonsensical time-travelling technocratist, peppered with barely-disguised invective against various media phenomenon. According to Wordpress the latest Ladybird post is close to 5000 words. It really only has a few fans on tumblr who could just as easily read it on Wordpress. Wordpress is a platform I know, in a format I’m comfortable with, and it has features that suit me better. I may still use tumblr for random mindspew.
